North Esk River
Another beautiful river in the State’s North East, the North Esk is a favourite location for many Tasmanians. Again, caddis and small mayflies bring about the best rises, but grasshoppers and nymphs also provide exciting fishing. The fish are generally a little bit larger than those in the near by St Patricks, but they are not quite as plentiful.
Polaroiding is a successful technique when the weather allows, with four and five weight rods best suited.
